KM² Solutions is excited to announce the upcoming promotion of Michelle Pittsenbarger, KM²’s Vice President of Information Security, to Chief Technology Officer. This announcement also marks the retirement of Ray Valentine, who has held the CTO position for the past fifteen years. This leadership change will be effective from the end of August. Michelle’s background and wealth of experience, both prior to joining KM² and her demonstrable successes during her tenure here, make her the perfect successor to build on the immeasurable efforts of Ray and his team in establishing KM² as a world-class technology organization.
Michelle brings extensive management experience, having previously risen through the ranks at Nationwide to ultimately become their CTO’s Chief of Staff. Having mastered a range of disciplines based on improving technology and information security postures, Michelle’s strengths lie in her ability to reach across departmental lines and align security and functionality together while driving performance through the application of next-generation technology.

During her tenure at KM², Michelle’s accomplishments are equally as impressive. Having migrated the company to best-in-class enterprise security tools recognized by Fortune 100 companies as best-in-breed solutions, Michelle has also mapped out a security roadmap for the next two years and is undertaking the same for information technology. Michelle is also focused on the continued integration of artificial intelligence (AI), robotic process automation (RPA), and machine learning into our platforms.

Outside of KM², Michelle is very active in the IT community in central Ohio. She co-founded a non-profit for women in information security, providing mentoring and financial assistance to help them secure certifications. She is also well-connected to many CTOs and CIOs from whom she can leverage valuable insights. Beyond her philanthropic endeavors, Michelle actively participates in various IT conferences and workshops, sharing her expertise and contributing to advancing the community’s knowledge and best practices.
KM² Solutions also wants to take this opportunity to recognize, with deep gratitude, the massive contribution of our outgoing CTO, Ray Valentine. Ray has been instrumental in leading, transforming, and evolving the technology needs of KM² since 2008. Without his knowledge, insight, and herculean efforts, KM² Solutions would not be the robust, world-class organization it is today.
